WEEK 3 LESSON: November 17th, 2024
WEEK 3 LESSON: November 17, 2024
G2K: God gives us boldness!
Memory Verse: Zephaniah 3:17a - “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.”
Bible Lesson: Ruth Asks Boaz For Help: Ruth 3; Hebrews 10:19-25
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, we talked about how God gives us boldness! Being bold doesn't mean we stop being afraid completely. We might still have fear because that is a natural human response. But sometimes the fear might live mostly in our minds, and once we realize God is with us, we can quiet the fearful voices and make the bold choices. To reinforce this lesson, use this activity.
Instructions: For this activity, use the paper mask handed out during the MP Kids service (or click here for template). Provide crayons, markers, and stickers for kids to create their own superhero mask. Many superheroes are mild-mannered ordinary people until they don their superhero costumes. Their mask hides their true identity to protect themselves from villains. They can be bold and protect the citizens when they don't have to worry about the bad guys finding out where they live! We don’t need a mask to be an unsung hero, but let's create our own masks to help us remember God is always with us, even closer than a mask is on our face! God gives us boldness to do great things!
FAMILY TIME: Use these questions to start a conversation with your children about this week’s lesson.
Hebrews 10:23 reminds us God is faithful. How might knowing this help us be bold?
In what circumstances do you need God's boldness the most?
When we need to make bold choices, how can we ask God for help?
