WEEK 4 LESSON: September 22, 2024

• Bible Lesson: Solomon’s Wise Ruling: 1 Kings 3:19–28; James 3:13–18

WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week we talked about how God gives us true wisdom! Having true wisdom is like building a house on a rock, where we turn to God to be our support and strength. In the book of James, we’re reminded to lean on God's true wisdom. To help further this lesson, follow the instructions below.

Instructions: For this activity, you'll need to give each of your kids a white index card that they will turn into a construction sign. To make this, have your kids line the top and bottom of their card with striped washi tape (or design their own borders) and write the Good To Know (G2K) with orange marker in the middle of their card. Then they can attach two white clothespins on the bottom of their card to make a freestanding sign. They can use some gem stickers to place on the top corners like caution lights. We are all under construction. Every day is a chance for us to grow wiser as we learn more about God's ways. Put your sign somewhere visible to help remind you that you can make wise choices because God gives us true wisdom!

• Can you think of a time when you had a wise choice to make?

• What are some sources or people you can go to when you are searching for wisdom?
